Advanced Wellness, located in Marlboro, NJ offers comprehensive pain management services to help patients reduce chronic discomfort and improve function. Our team of expert physicians, nurses, and therapists develops customized treatment plans that may include medication, injections, therapy, regenerative medicine, and other innovative procedures. By addressing the underlying causes of pain through multiple modalities, we aim to provide long-term relief and enhanced well-being.
During the initial consultation, our pain specialist evaluates the patient’s medical history and current condition. The doctor then discusses various treatment options, such as physical therapy, injections, and chiropractic care, to determine the most suitable approach.
Patients should prepare by bringing medical records, diagnostic test results, and a list of current medications and supplements. They may be asked to describe the pain characteristics, location, triggers, and impact on daily life. The main goal is to create a customized treatment plan to target the underlying cause of problems. Our pain management doctors are committed to helping every patient achieve a pain-free life.
Physical therapists at Advanced Wellness utilize many techniques, such as stretching, strengthening exercises, manual therapy, and electrical stimulation, to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent further injury. We develop customized treatment plans to address each person’s specific needs. Physical therapy is a typical part of sports medicine, helping athletes restore their functioning. It is also used to treat common conditions caused by diseases, accidents, and workplace trauma.
Occupational therapists help patients regain independence and return to daily activities through exercises, adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and lifestyle modifications. They focus on improving fine motor skills, coordination, balance, and managing fatigue and pain. Occupational therapists collaborate with patients to set functional goals and tailor interventions.
Chiropractors focus on disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, especially the spine. They use spinal adjustments, manipulations, rehabilitative exercises, and lifestyle counseling to improve alignment and joint mobility. Chiropractic care aims to reduce pain, restore function, and prevent further injury.
Nerve blocks involve injecting an anesthetic medication around a specific nerve or group of nerves to relieve pain temporarily. They can provide targeted improvements by preventing pain signals from reaching the brain. These injections may relieve chronic back pain and many other conditions.
Corticosteroid injections deliver anti-inflammatory medication directly into joints, muscles, or around nerves and tissues. This treatment provides relief by reducing inflammation that may be causing discomfort. It is commonly used to treat joint pain from arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Regenerative medicine involves cell-based therapies, biomaterials, and growth factors that stimulate the body’s healing and repair processes. Our pain management specialists inject platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or stem cells into damaged tissues to regenerate them and reduce inflammation and pain. These new therapies aim to repair damaged structures biologically. They are currently at the forefront of innovation in pain medicine.
Acupuncture involves stimulating specific points on the body by inserting thin needles through the skin along different meridians. It aims to restore the flow of energy and relieve discomfort. Acupuncture is commonly used in integrative treatment plans to safely alleviate chronic pain.
Shockwave therapy involves high-energy sound waves directed at the affected tissue through the skin. It aims to promote healing by increasing blood flow and metabolic activity. Shockwave therapy is used to treat various chronic pain conditions, such as plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendonitis. The sound waves can help break up scar tissue, stimulate regeneration, and reduce inflammation. Such physical medicine is highly effective for treating different types of pain.
