Hui Yang, L.Ac

Hui Yang is a distinguished Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac) who has been contributing to the field of acupuncture since 1995. Board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in New Jersey, Hui has a rich background rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), having obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Tianjin College of TCM in China.

Following her graduation, Hui honed her skills by working as a medical doctor at the Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin College of TCM, where she gained substantial experience in treating a variety of conditions. Her career in acupuncture has been further enriched by her roles in various pain management and healthcare centers, where she has successfully treated numerous patients.

Hui’s areas of specialization include pain management, sports injuries, spine and joint conditions, women’s health, fertility, digestive issues, and stress management. Her approach integrates TCM practices with a deep understanding of modern medical needs, aiming to restore balance and harmony to her patients’ lives.

Prior to joining the Advanced Wellness team, Hui owned and operated her own private acupuncture practice in East Brunswick and Watchung. She is enthusiastic about being part of a collaborative team that focuses on holistic patient care.

Outside of her professional life, Hui enjoys a range of activities that contribute to her own balance and harmony. She is an avid reader, enjoys watching movies, loves cooking, and values quality time spent with her family. These pursuits not only provide her with personal fulfillment but also enrich her professional practice by maintaining her overall well-being.

Gary Yen, MD

MCMSc, PA-C, AT

Dr. Gary L. Yen is Board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has a sub-specialty in Pain Medicine. Dr. Yen grew up in Long Island, NY and received his medical degree from Ross University. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and performed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Stony Brook University, where he was chief resident.

Dr. Yen completed a pain management fellowship at RehabNY in Buffalo, NY, during which he served as the assistant athletic trainer to the Buffalo Bison, the Minor League AAA baseball team for the Cleveland Indians, as well as the Niagara University men’s and women’s collegiate hockey team.

The former chairman of the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Division of the Pain Management Department at CentraState Medical Center, Dr. Yen specializes in the non-operative treatment of a variety of joint, muscular, nerve, skeletal, spine and sports related injuries. He treats acute and chronic pain syndromes and performs electrodiagnostic studies. Dr. Yen also performs variety of interventional pain procedures and minimally invasive spine surgery for the relief of pain. He utilizes conservative treatments such as physical therapy, chiropractic care and acupuncture in conjunction with other procedures to enhance long term benefits. Dr. Yen believes in working with patients to create individual treatment plans.

When not attending to his patients, Dr. Yen likes to play golf, cook, and has a passion for playing the saxophone and piano. He is the proud father of two boys.
